Walmart has items on clearance at select stores. They seem to do a 25%, 50%, 75% off reduction schedule so the ones at 75% are worth looking at.

To find stores with items I would recommend Brickseek (links below). You can also double check with the Walmart app (and not walmart.com). Regardless of what either one reports you can expect a decent amount of inventory errors / wild goose chases.

Here are some recent finds:

Item #: 44705400
Night Owl 8-Channel F6 Series 960H DVR with HDMI, 1TB HDD and 4 x 650 TVL Cameras
Walmart.com price: $244.60, at stores for $64
http://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=44705400

*There is an new version that looks the same with a +1 UPC.

Item: 37356708
Swann Home Security Kit
Walmart.com price: $299.00, mostly $74. I bought 1 at $37.
http://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=37356708

Item: 46278057
Stanley 5-Drawer Rolling Tool Chest with Bonus 68-piece Mechanics Tools Set STMT74898
Walmart.com price: $90, some at $50. I bought 1 at $25.
http://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=46278057

When I scanned this one with the Walmart app it came up as a different item, but it was $25 at the self price checker and the register. Not sure why this was the case.

I posted these air tools a while ago, so they are probably gone but you might get lucky:

17128847 Campbell Hausfeld 50' Retractable Hose Reel $13, reg $55
12534873 Campbell Hausfeld 62-Piece Air Tool Kit $25, reg $95
20971303 Campbell Hausfeld 16 Gauge 2-1/2" Finish Nailer $17, reg $53
21118533 Campbell Hausfeld 1-1/4" 2-in-1 Brad Nailer/Stapler Kit $9, reg $36
47374290 Campbell Hausfield TL050201AV 1/2" Impact Wrench $5, reg $33

I've ordered a few items online, picked up from the low price store and got the store price. The trick is the item must show up as "pickup today (or tomorrow)" and it has to be pulled from store inventory. The order will ring up at full walmart.com price. If they pull the item from the store inventory when you pickup it will automatically price adjust to the lower store price. At the store you can double check on the price change, but you can expect an e-mail before you reach your car.

If the store doesn't have the item (or the order puller doesn't find it), the order will automatically convert to a site-to-store order and you will get an e-mail saying your item has been delayed (with some B.S. about confirming your financial data). I just cancel the order at that point since there will not be a price adjustment. If you pickup and the price adjustment doesn't happen, returning is always an option.

Here is one for the Swann security system:
Refund notice for your recent Walmart.com order - XXXX-YYYYYYY
Hi Phillip,
We have processed a refund of $281.39 for your recent order. Please see below for more details.

For those that don't want the Easter egg hunt, online ordering might be the way to go.

Also, the Walmart app can be used to scan UPCs in store and it *should* give you the store price (set "My Store" to the one you are in).

Return/rebuys might also work, but the SDealers have been working overtime with this trick and large screen TVs, so Walmart has been cracking down. I would expect smaller/lower price items have a better chance.

So there were 2 in my store that scanned 299. I should buy online and it'll be 74 as brickseek says?

What does the Walmart app show for the price at that store (not the Walmart.com price)? If it is $74 they should adjust the price. If not, then brickseek may just have the price wrong.

Also, make sure it is the right item. There are several that look the same.

Cazz,
I would like to thank you for posting this.
I just got:
"17128847 Campbell Hausfeld 50' Retractable Hose Reel $13, reg $55"
One of the Walmarts local to me showed the 13.00 price.
Everything worked exactly as you said it would.

Thanks again

Noob question here.

So I found the nightowl 44705400 at two stores. App shows $64. Once I click on the your store tab, it brings up $202 price. I added to cart and entire transaction and price still at $202. Did I miss a step? I placed my order and got order confirmation but still at $202 price.

Is this the part where it automatically adjust to the $64 price once I pick up the item?

I ran into the same problem with the pressure washers a while ago. I don't think you can purchase it online at the cheap price. As soon as you add it to your cart it jumps to full price, even if you pick store pickup. I think you just have to go to the store and get it.

If the item is sold by Walmart and not a third party seller, and it's available for pickup at the store showing the lower in-store price "Today", the price will automatically adjust to the lower in-store price when you pick it up (your initial order will be for the higher online price). If it ends up as a ship to store order, it won't adjust to the lower price at pickup.

That's right. If you get an e-mail that says your order has been delayed, they converted your order from "pick up today" to a "site to store".

Just want to confirm, does brickseek show the correct price? Or can the price be lower when I go pick it up in the store?

Coolio. I've never heard of brickseek before. At my local Walmart they had a Bostitch 65-Piece Pass-Thru Socket Set (3/8, 1/2), BTMT72287 set for 59$. It might be cheaper at your local Walmart. Check it on BS: 25440928

So far it's been good at showing quantity in store. Price has been wrong a few times. For example. I looked up the red radio flyer trikes and it told me it was on clearance at this store. I show up and the red ones are full price ($89) but the pink were the ones on sale for $21.

So use it as a guide but don't trust it. Its clearance page is what I like about it because it gives you an idea of what is on sale.

Nice! A few stores around me with same price $59. Luckily I just got the 205 piece husky kit for $50.04 but can never have to many tools lol

Is that $59 for that Bostitch set actually a good deal? How much is it normally?
There's still some Lowes deals out there for Kobalt pass-thru sets.

I don't think it is a good deal at 59$, but I did see it show up at 40$ and 25$ out of stock when entering random Zip codes. If it was 25$ near me I'd go snag it and I think that would be a very good deal. If it saved the day once it'd be easily worth 25$.

Check out your local stores for clearance yard tools: various blowers, lawnmowers, various trimmers, etc may be on clearance for 50% - 75% off.

Some in-stock deals at my local store:

22084832
Murray 16" gas trimmer
$21

44983061
Murray 180MPH gas blower
$19

Not a Stihl or Echo, but very low prices. I'm passing on them and putting the $20 toward higher-quality tools.

Quick brag: I found a 40" Samsung TV for $79, and got the manager to agree to an additional 30% discount before he knew what price it would ring up. A nice replacement for the 10-year-old 26" LCD I've been getting by with
