Walmart appears to be clearing out Shell Rotella Gas Truck Oil... I picked up 5-qt jugs of 5W-30 for $5.24 and 5W-20 for $7.55 in central NJ.

Like with all Walmart clearance, normal disclaimers apply - B&M, YMMV, etc...

I went to the Walmart in Neptune, NJ...

Looking at the BS inventory checker, it says the 5W-30 (UPC 021400061408) is sold out at the Hamilton Walmart... but 'limited stock' is available at the North Brunswick store (though it's only been marked down 50%).

Says there's "limited stock" of 5W-20 (UPC 021400061286) available at the Walmart on Roosevelt Ave. in Philly for $5.24.

BS says it's available at other stores that might be closer to you... though it's only been marked down 50%. You could check the BS inventory checker every few days to see if/when they mark it down 75% (though $11 for 5 quarts of full synthetic still isn't a bad deal).

For the fishermen with youngsters getting started. The waxies are worth about $2. I bought 5. My nephews won’t be starting fishing till next year, so I’ll be using the waxies, and holding onto the hide-a-hook bobbers till then. Gave the glasses to a friend for her church children. Everybody wins.

I saw a stack of the small Goodyear branded quiet air compressors for $120. Did pick up one of the 36" Hyper Tough USA made prybars for $12 though.

I thought Roundup has killed a lot of people. Why are you guys still buying it?

The correlation with cancer and glyphosate is weak at best.

Personally I am guessing it has some slight increase to cancer rates (most things do, in excess), but it is by far one of the safer chemicals I use.
Ingestion of gramoxone (an herbicide) can kill you in a few days (and long term exposure is also linked to Parkinsons). Phostoxin (fumigant) can cause almost immediate organ failure.

As with all chemicals, treat with care and follow the instructions/MSDS.
Antifreeze can also kill you if used inappropriately.

A large part of the reason Bayer lost (who bought Monsanto, the original maker, knowing full well they would lose) was it was missing some of the necessary warning details. Stuff only a lawyer would find. Not saying I'd drink the stuff, but plenty on my no drinky list already. Also, it was usually mixed with other chemicals when it was blamed for any possible link to health issues, very safe on its own. Currently stocked up with 2x2.5 gallons of it.

Just for reference, it was ~$14 /gal for 41% concentrate from a bulk supplier.

Not sure when you bought (i assume a while ago), but if you can still get 41% at those prices please feel free to send me a message as I would happily buy a few shuttles worth.

I bought at $15 (for 54%) in late 2020, but 54% is in the low $30s. That is if you can get stock, many are out and allocations from manufacturers are a problem.

It seems like they r clearancing out their sledge hammers and axes. Fiskars hatchet for $9.80 and splittings wedges for $3.99. Seem like the jewels of the lot.

Grease Monkey 27537-14WM Nitrile Disposable Gloves, Heavy Duty, 6mil Thickness, Men's Large (50 count)

(4.8)4.8 stars out of 28 reviews28 reviews
$6.88

Stolen from Slickdeals. No idea if they are any good. They are 6 mil and the reviews look good though. I was able to order online to pick up within the next four days. Looked like it is only Large available at this price.

ETA....

From the reviews at SD, apparently, they run small....

"If you usually get XL, forget these. If you are L, they may be OK, but if you fit an M, you are golden!"

I keep my order for the ladies of the neighborhood.

I was at my local Walmart this afternoon and they had a stack of Hart heated jackets - the black ones - marked down to $75 in the clearance aisle. I saw M, L and XXL, included battery and charger. I hadn't seen these in the store since the beginning of winter, looks like they were marked half off.

They're on clearance for $7. They're cheap little outfits but should be great for little kids new to the sport. They come with a bunch of stickers to help them make the combos their own. Get the kids wanting to be helping in the shop when they're inside, and wanting to be on the water when they're outside. It'll keep them too busy to get into trouble when they're young, and too broke when they get older.
