Walmart Stanley 3/8" 6 point Deeps

Like I mentioned in my post about the 1/4" deep sockets previously, I was looking for an inexpensive bargain-brand set of 3/8" deep 6 point sockets and went with the Walmart Stanleys simply because they didn't skip sizes. For some reason it bugs me to have sets with size skips....so actually I don't have any.

For anyone that is interested, the Stanley deep sets at Walmart are 6 point sets without size skips. Metric is 10mm - 19mm and Standard is 5/16" - 7/8." I don't use them for much of anything heavy duty like suspension work or anything. For that stuff I'll go to 1/2", but otherwise, I've been using these Stanley's for over a year now and I really like them. I just thought I'd give them a good review (and the 1/4" Pittsburgh deeps) for anyone out there that's interested.

I used them for EONs in my roadbox and never once had an issue.

Our local Walmart also has a large selection of Stanley single sockets which makes filling in inexpensive sets easy. One of the HFs near me used to have singles for $1 each but last time I checked they stopped selling them.

I like them because they are in between the shallow and deep sockets I have.

They skipped 1/4", 6, 7, 8, 9mm.

Yep they are pretty decent, started to use a set of them as of late. Works pretty good.

To earlthegoat2's comment: Ok sure. Yeah they did start the Metric set at 10mm and the Standard at 5/6" and not 1/4", but I'd assume the numbers are typically for 1/4" drive sets. I picked up the Pittsburgh Pro 1/4" 6point deep Metric and Standard sets for all of the low end sizes and it's been great. They don't skip sizes either. Not too bad for light duty stuff on a budget.
