Hi all,

I have bought the following set from a second hand market here in Belgium. It looked to me very high quality stuff and bought it without searching for it. Now I came back to home and google it a bit but couldn't find much about it. I bumped into this website and realized that there are some knowledgeable guys about such tools around here. Could anyone have a look at the pictures and tell me if it it a high quality tool or a standard cheap product?

The brand is Walter.

There are product numbers on each item and sockets are all numbered 1200. The other tools are numbered 1230, 1231, 1233 and 1237.

Wow, so fast replies. I really loved this forum

It's good to know that it is not a cheap tool as the material itself gives the feeling. Thanks a lot.

Is there a link between Walter & Metabo? Here in Canada, I never see Metabo but see lots of Walter, which look very much like Metabo models.

Yes. They've merged.

Metabo may rebrand some of their tools for Walter, but I don't believe they're part of the same corporation. I'm also not certain the Walter tools that sell the rebranded power tools is the same Walter tools that manufactures the handtools.

I believe this is the other Walter, and the company goes be Walter Surface Technologies.

The Canadian Walter company seems to be a distributor of abrasives and power tools and Carl Walter is an independent german tool company.
