Walwart power supply case came apart - fix or replace?

The sprinkler power supply walwart plastic came apart. I had some epoxy mixed for another job so I epoxied it back together. Thinking of it now, would any excess epoxy that may have contacted the transformer inside be an electrical hazard? The epoxy is still curing so it has not been placed back into the receptacle.

Better to replace or is the epoxy a suitable fix?

There should be a toll-free number on the side of your epoxy packaging, give them a call. I've had great success talking with manufacturers about their products and applications.

Epoxy is an insulator.. My only concern would be if you got enough in there that you impact the heat dissipation of the transformer.

Metal filled epoxy like JB Weld can conduct electricity, but not very well (JBW is full of iron powder).

Since the OP just said "epoxy", I'm assuming it's just a resin gloop of some sort and it will be perfectly fine.
