New guy to this forum from central Texas. Over 60 and just starting a life-long desire (wood working, that is). Currently using my garage as a workshop but everything has to be small and portable. Painful but I've got high hopes for a dedicated shop in the near future. Found a cool infeed/outfeed mod for my dwe7491rs saw but can't PM 'till I get 10 posts. Well, nine more to go!

Welcome!

The best way to start your woodworking endeavors is to sort out your dust collection early on. Personally I swear by cyclone separators to pick up the big stuff and venting outside, bypassing expensive filters that don't even work as intended.

Welcome to The Garage Journal from Northern California.
Try the Search function button in the black stripe near the top of the page to find threads and discussions on your specific tool and woodworking topics that you are interested in.
Great to see you already have an active workshop and are interested in trying new hobbies. You are going to fit in here just fine. Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome to the forum from Southwestern California, I didn't get my shop until I was forced to retire on my late 60's.

I guess we are "Late Bloomers"
