I have a set of the deep well, used them off and on for about five years and they seem to hold up well. Mine are U.S.

The ones you would get will be CHINA, probably still ok, but if you are going to buy CHINA tools might as well go HF - pittsburgh pro. Less than half that price, and have heard good things about HF impact sockets. Look at S-K impacts, not a whole lot more than that, but a major step up.

I ordered this set online for store pick up. They handed me a made in china set. But was able to trade for a U.S.A set they had on shelf. I used a few pieces and they seem well built.

From what I've heard and read on the reviews on sears website they will ship you a china made set.

The Harbor Freight impacts are made in Taiwan, not China. I have a set of them and they work great for the price.

I'm a DIY'er so they don't get daily use.

You can check out your local sears and see if they have old new stock of U.S.A made modules on the shelves. If not look at S&K like posted above.

There was nothing wrong with the USA made craftsman impact sockets, I found them to be a little thick and limited in their size range. I had all craftsman impact sockets at home, sold them to a buddy and bought sunnex impact sockets. For being imports, they are good sockets. If you want to go USA made, go SK.

I've got that exact set at work. I'm a heavy equipment tech and have had zero issues out of my set. I picked them up last year on sale. The box cearly said made in USA, so I guess it's hit and in is on origin.

I have some H.F impacts and have been using them at work daily for the last 12 years or so. I would not buy any others as these have been great and cost less than grass seed.

I too have the HF impact sockets and have no complaints.
I only purchased after reading many positive comments.
I am rough on them and they have held up well, but only purchased as a disposable since I really prefer domestic tools.

I got mine a long time ago and i figured as they broke or wore out i would buy Snap on singles to replace them with. So far i have not replaced any...at least that i can remember! I abuse the **** out of them too. I regularly use them with my 1 inch gun (1 inch to 3/4, 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor) and they still dont falter. Im not saying they are the best in the world or anything...just they work well and stand up to hard use. I can ask nothing more from a tool reguardless of COO or manufacturer.

P.S...I did break my Matco 1/2 to 3/4 adaptor once...but the socket held!

I always recomend American tools when i can, and i do prefer to buy them. I would say i own probaly 90% domestic wich is not bad. I still have no problem with imported tools so long as they are of good quality and priced like an import.
