I have my Father's Craftsman floor jack and it is leaking oil. I don't have time to take it and get it fix and pick it up bc of work. So I need to get a new one. What should I get? I don't use it much maybe once a yr so don't want to spend a lot of money. The heavest vehicle will be a SUV. Thanks

I found HF floor jacks to be very good. I have their 4 ton version, it is a beast. A few friends own the 3 ton version and are very pleased as well. Either will work fine for your SUV.

I've had two from HF - went from a Pittsburgh 2-ton to the yellow Daytona 3-ton - very happy with both. (sold the 2-ton to a buddy who needed one & used the chance to upgrade)

Your problem won't be lifting capacity. The range or lifting height will probably be more important. I also have two HF jacks I'm happy with.

I have an Old Sam's Club 3ton floor jack from the mid 80's. Its Beast, Very Heavy.
Hard to move around.

I Just bought a New Aluminum 1-1/2 ton Harbor Freight Floor jack on sale $69.
It's on sale until May 12.
I Bought it mostly for working on my,
Cub Cadet Commercial 30hp Tank M60 Zero Turn.
It weights around 1,200Lbs.

Now if I can keep my kids, from trying to lift the Trucks and Tractors with this.

It Should fill a hole, in my Jack Collection.f6c0bd9405470baa158a8e7d5419857d.jpg

I have a gray 4 ton and a Daytona 4 ton both from Harbor Freight. I don't think they make the gray 4 ton one anymore or at least they don't carry them at neighboring stores nearby. Both have been great. I got the Daytona because I needed a second jack and that's what the store had. The Daytona is a lower profile and lighter. The gray one has rode in the back of my truck for several years and still works as good as the day I bought it. I've had the Daytona for over a year and it's the same way.

the HF low profile Long reach are very good for SUV as well as lowered cars. I have their earlier 3 ton and 2 ton version, no complains other than it gets heavy when you want to get lazy.

The HF ones and the better inexpensive ones will suit your needs. The Arcan one I got from Costco for under $100 a few years ago works fine for occasional use.

I think HF has most places beat when it comes to price and getting something economical. Lots of people like them and have lots of success using them.

They’re not for me though, I’ve moved on to other brands/manufacturers. I’ve gone through my share of HF jacks. This is NOT my video, but it pretty much summarizes my luck with them:

I can say that I still look at them in the HF catalog for all their pretty colors.

I have that same jack and its a trooper, I like it BC it is light and rolls fairly well and its easy enough to throw in the trunk .
I have used it to jack up (one wheel at a time) on my 2011 F150 and yes it did fart a small amount of fluid one time I over jacked it once but it still works for me

I'm still using the same Michelin 3 ton I bought from Sam's 20 years ago, it's been a work horse, hard to believe it was only $70 or so. You just can't beat the HF Daytona 3 ton, especially seeing Snap-On gets almost $700 for the same unit. :headscrat

My floor jack my wife bought me in 1996 is on its last leg, the last 20% sale I got a blue HF low profile long reach and absolutely love it. It has the pedal for the quick rise on it as well.
