I'm looking for a good name brand stubby ratcheting screwdriver...have the Snap On regular size already and not liking that the end cap has come off while using it letting the extra tips fall out.....throw some names at me...

If your Snap-on ratcheting screwdriver end cap falls off, the thing is either defective, or wasn't tightened.

Those things are snug as hell.

I have the Snap On t-handle stubby. No cap to come off. I also have have the soft grip stubby with the interchangeable shanks. No cap on it either. Snap on is the only stubby ratcheting screw driver I have ever seen.

I bought THIS set a couple years ago to replace my old snappy hard handle non interchangeable shank one and absolutely love it.

I have the Vessel model, fairly cheap on Amazon and works great.

dogdad,

Here is a stubby ratcheting screwdriver made by Bahco: LINK. I own the same own made by Britool. I love it because the ratcheting mechanism is fine tooth (around 48 teeth). In addition, the direction switch is hard to move accidentally unlike the Gearwrench models. It is made in Taiwan.

Yeah, the Snap On stubbies have no end cap.
In the stubbies, the hard handle is a little shorter than the newer Instinct.

The snap on hard handle stubby, it's probably the favorite tool and my entire toolbox

I have the Snap On stubby hard handle. It works well. No cap on it either. A tad longer than your standard stubby screwdriver. But it works well.
