I'm thinking of building a new shop building. It would be in the Oklahoma City Area. I was thinking of a pole barn and have a few quotes together but would welcome any input. I've got a 40 and 20 foot container right now

Need to narrow down the set of possibilities. What is the intended use? HVAC planned for a workshop or just dry-storage?

dry storage for now,

sorry I guess that was pretty vague, I've spent the last week piling over peoples build threads drooling.

Not necessarily needing Ideas on what to build, but if you have any pointers that you might have done differently, I would appreciate the insight.

I'm also undecided on a builder, if anyone knows of a good builder that services the NW-of-OKC area I would appreciate any input on that also.

When you built yours (or if you have studied the topic extensively) What kind of structure would be the best? I've pretty much narrowed it down to either a pole barn with a cement floor, two room office and a bathroom or a prefab/used metal building with the same. If I subdivide off a secton for an office and a reloading room/hunting and camping storage it would be air conditioned.

Do I need to have thicker floors if I plan on putting in a 4 pole lift?

As far as use, I have two jeep cherokees I like to work on and pretend I'm a mechanic. I would ideally have a small paint booth for small parts. I would like to have a blast cabinet and room for all of my woodworking equipment and hand tools I've picked up over the years that I don't get to use very often. I like pegboard. I also like akro bins.

I keep telling myself that I would get a TON of use out of it, but in all reality it will likely become knee high storage for boxes of stuff and a pretty swell indoor garage sale location if I ever decide to cut loose of a few things.
