Wards Powr Kraft Ratchet

My son called, he just picked up a Powr Kraft ratchet, 1/2 Drive, tootsie roll handle. I believe these were made by Wright. He tells me the ratcheting mechanism skips, and needs rebuilt.

My questions are:
1) Will a rebuild kit from a Wright 4400 fit this ratchet, or should he look for a donor ratchet?
2) As it was made by Wright, will they warranty it by sending a rebuild kit?

I have heard Wright will send you a rebuild kit gratis if you call them, from other members here. If not, you can get a donor rat for cheaper than the price of a rebuild kit, which is about as expensive as they get for a ratchet.
