Built in 1926, the Warner Garage was located in Chassell, Michigan. I have long admired the building, but time and neglect has taken its toll. The rains following heavy snows this year has done it in.
Around here there are some once-great gambrel roof barns that are in a bad state of decay with big obvious holes in the roof and/or leaning construction. I can see the roof is the weak link and when nobody has the money to maintain that part, its a slow spiral. I would like to buy them and fix them up to store boats during the winter but the wife will have none of it
I never heard of it before. I just don't like to see the loss of anything that was built when things were done with care, pride and craftsmanship instead of being prefabbed, slapped up and expected to last about 20 years...
