I'm setting up an old parts cleaner, where all of the solvent stayed in the basin. The pump died. I have a non-submersible pump and an old plastic out-board motor gas can. Planning on letting the basin drain into the tank and pump it up top. I don't want a flammable solvent, so I'm going to give this a try. Simple Green Pro HD @ 1:3. It says that it is non-corrosive.

I'll add a bit of RV anti-freeze because my building is not heated in winter.

See how it goes?

I'm using "Awesome" branded cleaner from the dollar store. About 4 gallons ran $8 and I topped off with water. It won't freeze and it is very very very slippery. It also is very effective on grease. It doesn't foam up, which is nice as well so you can see what you're doing and not have a Brady Bunch sort of moment with foam overfilling the tank.

It doesn't affect paint or aluminum, but it sure does affect grease!
