I bought a box of sockets at a rummage sale, 50 or more sockets, on account I saw some craftsman and s-k and other USA made sockets. Two 1/2" drive snap on sockets were in there but one is cracked. I think its the 7/8" and is likely 60s vintage or older. Little finish is left, the black.oxide, and such .... will snap on warranty this? Not a big deal if they don't I guess only paid $7 for a mix of craftsman, sk, proto, and a 1/2 " drive industro ratchet ....also got some Taiwan stuff...

There a few threads like this and they send the same message. You paid 7 dollars for a bucks of sockets. That socket alone cost about 5 times as much as you paid. If you had a good dealer they would likely give you a replacment. But snap on is requiring a recipt for replacing items such as your socket. Id say no they won't.

In theory yes it should be warranty no question ask. I never deal with SO directly as I'm a loyal truck customer. Some on here with call ins for warranty have had issues, SO has been real sticklers about proof of purchase. Find a dealer, maybe grease the wheel with a purchase and it should be no problem.
