I know it's best to post a question before you buy something but I barely caught the auction with 2 minutes to go. Was this a good buy? It's a Par X, supposedly Snap On will warranty it , not sure about that. Paid $76 including shipping.

Aside from the fact that the casting isn't finished/formed or chromed as well as a Snapon; looks good to me and the price is good; all the ratchets I have "watched" go for way more then that!

As you can see it is finished/shaped more carefully and highly chromed but they are basically the same; this one is quite a bit newer but the design, from what I can tell hasn't changed much! The current models are sealed but aside from that very similar. Heck the head alone is $198.00 without the handle!

The newer models head shape is actually closer to your PAR-X then the previous generation model.

This raises the question: "is it possible to get a Snapon tool, gimme on eBay?"; everything seems to go so high, can you get a "gimme"? Most of the gimme's I have gotten e.g. $1.00 Snapon combo wrenches; have all been flea market purchases!
