Wash After Grinding?

Hi... New member and first post. I just ground my floor down in prep for my first coat of epoxy and it looks pretty clean. I swept up and vacuumed all the dust I created, but was wondering if I should hose-off or mop the floor to get any remaining dust particles off.

I'm using Wolverine products and asked Fred, but I thought I'd post the question here too in case he's out for the holidays or to see if anyone has any other experiences.

BondTite 1101 is a great epoxy primer because it adheres extremely well to concrete, but it doesn’t stick as well to concrete dust. There are commercial vacs which manage to remove almost all of the dust, but most shop vacuums aren't up to the task. For that reason I think it’d be prudent to perform some sort of final water rinse to make certain that there is as little residual dust as possible, a pressure wash would be ideal, but a thorough rinse with lots of fresh, clean water augmented by aggressive sweeping with a stiff bristle broom would work also.

I would recommend you pressure wash if you can, I saw a huge difference in my concrete after the pressure washing. You need to remove the concrete dust from the pores of the concrete to get the best results.

Thanks. Since I have to wash it out anyway, I decided to go ahead and do an acid wash. Between that and the grinding I should have a good surface.
