After tinkering with a waste oil burner from ckburners I ended up having the ability to burn a ton of waste oil. Unfortunately the furnace I have was shutting down because the heat was too much for it. The plus side is the small round drum in there was red hot which burnt the paint of the interior panels. I tried adjusting the burner, smaller nozzle but last night I ended up converting back to the regular oil setup. It could work but the safety is what comes to my mind. I did some digging online and people are running diesel as a catalyst to the waste oil. It just needs to be filtered really really well.
Does anyone have any more information on this? I burn diesel in this setup anyways, have been for years.
