What do you call the tool that is used to find the contour on sheet metal. I'm working on some curved body panels, doing some welding and would like to find the shape so I can check later. I've seen them, they have little tentacles that go up into the body of the tool so you can tighten it down and then hold the shape.

Call it a senior moment, but I can't remember what to call it and I need to get one.
