Wife bought me a Ryobi water broom for my birthday.
Do I need this?

My pressure washer is an old hand me down Karcher that doesn’t have tips that can be changed.
So if I keep the water broom what pressure washer should I buy.

And what other tools should I buy while shopping for the pressure washer,
And how big of an addition should I build on to my garage to house all my new tools.

The way things are going this birthday gift is gonna cost me $100k 😂

I have one - not that brand, though - and it's the best thing for moving already-loose items on top of concrete. You get a sort of wave moving along in front of it, and that just keeps things moving forward - much better than a single-jet nozzle.

It can't do much for prying stuff loose, though. That will need some pressure.

My take on the latter? Don't use a pressure washer, as it tears up the concrete surface. Instead, I have a low pressure cleaning pistol that uses hot water and 90 psi compressed air - much more gentle but still effective.

Same apparatus is used for engine cleaning, FWIW. It's much better on wiring, rubber components, etc.

Might as well just get the biggest pressure washer that Ryobi makes, so you can use that water broom and Foam Cannons.

I need to start looking at my Honda powered BE pressure washer as I have a Princess Auto water broom that I ain’t even sure I can use. Also want to go with a more flexible hose.

I have one. It's pretty decent for cleaning an undercarriage or sweeping loose material on a deck or driveway.

I run it on a 120v pressure washer. It's not winning any awards for cleaning speed but it's always done what I've needed it for

I have one for cleaning under the vehicles as well, does a nice job at getting the salt off without having to get down on your hands and knee's.

It might be best to give some info as to what you plan to wash with it so suggestions can be made based off your needs. Typically though, purchase for GPM's and not PSI. Most homeowners tend to describe or value a pressure washer based off its psi ratings. Most professionals, the GPM's. I can do quite a few houses in a day when using 8 or more GPM's, and it's all done at less than 2k psi, (except for concrete).

As far as water brooms, I think they're excellent for undercarriages and anywhere you'd need to floss a rig under areas with tight clearances. For concrete or asphalt cleaning, a surface cleaner is much more efficient and capable. I'd purchase the pressure washer then the surface cleaner though, since you'll want to size your surface cleaner based off your pressure washer's, GPM's. Good rule of thumb is 4" of surface cleaner for every 1GPM, so there's absolutely no value in getting any surface cleaner bigger than 16" if you're not running more than 4GPM's. It won't clean faster or better.

It might also help to know your budget for a pressure washer. No reason giving you suggestions for rigs over $700 if you plan to spend $200.
