My power co had to replace a pole/transformer behind my neighbors house today and we were out of power for about 4 hours but when it came back on my water heater has been making noise...it just sounds like its running/refilling but I have never heard this noise before and it happens every time we use hot water..is there something I should reset since the power was cut...we still have hot water but the noise is new

The only reset would be for an overload on the thermostat/controller....sounds like normal water heater operation to me.
