Water Hose Nozzles

My shop is on a well so it's tough on metal. I have a nozzle that looks like a fire fighter one i.e. has the adjustable pattern handle on top.
I use this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E7YYDS/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the stainless construction is nice in that hard water has little effect on it. I also like the feature that it can be turned off by turning it in either direction. California Car Cover Company sells the same nozzle for considerably more money.

My guess is you bought one a while ago, it appears that the newer ones are junk. The reviews from more recent times ****. I hate it when manufacturers do that.

Nelson used to make a good one, but now they are all Chinese ****. I have yet to find a good one.

Adams Polish makes a good fire-hose nozzle as well. I have been using it for 2 years with no issues. Also made in the USA.

It will last you a lifetime. Just change the washer every couple of years.

Discontinued, but still available on eBay (see link above). The best feature is the separate ¼ turn on/off valve on the back. It is plastic so repeated drops on concrete will eventually take their toll.
Both of these are under $10 !!

Well, it's 10 bucks for the nozzle and 50 for the "Made in USA" stamp. The last 15 is for the kind of place that sells this stuff. Like Girots, they are pricey.

Snap-on rubber flex nozzle. It will last a lifetime and is hard to beat

Most of the hose nozzles I've had over the years failed in one way or another. The fancier they are, the more likely to **** out. Plastic ones crack, cheap zinc/pot metal ones corrode furiously. The ones that have been around the longest are the simple brass twist nozzles. I have a few that are always there to count on, periodically I take them apart, chuck them in the blast cabinet and clean them, then replace the o-ring and washer, they are as good as new. I have a couple "selectable" nozzles I use and bring into the house when done. Even doing this amount of care the complex ones often die in a few years.
I have this one. Paid more then I think a nozzle should cost but man this thing works awesome.
