The rapid Reels are nice but a little 'Workman' like. Reminds me of work.

And they Ain't THIS nice.

Just starting to get the property nice after the harsh winter. Gonna finish the pebble brick work around te basement walls. Got the grass looking lush. Mmm

The Gardena unit has 115ft of hose on it, spring retract (The wife loves it) quick fittings with water stops etc etc. oh and it looks nice. Gonna sink another fence post out front, fit the reel (It lifts off its mount) and hang a 'Hanging basket' from the other side.

I've RapidReels for over a decade. Just bought two for the new house. Two old ones had plastic handles that had suffered from sun exposure. Eley replaced them no questions asked with the new metal kind. A+ service from them, but it damned well better be considering their prices.

That and I picked up several of their Y and straight shut off valves. Lordy are these bullet-proof. Full bore opening inside AND easy to operate. Again, not cheap, but so much better than anything you'll get at a box store.

They claim their 100' 3/4" hose fits on the standard reel, but not with much room left to spare.

I've got an Ames ReelEasy cart that I bought over 10 years ago, and apparantly, is no longer being made. I paid 56 bucks for it back then and I thought it outrageous at the time, when most were at a 20-25 dollar price-point. Now, as I see what they want for today's junk, I think I got a great deal. It is a rather large cart with storage top and a moving hose guide. I have a heavy-duty 100 footer in it. Cart and hose are still perfect.

Nice, I just ordered the 50' version after reading this thread... Looking forward to having a reel that doesn't spew water all over the side of my house....

We own the Eley/RapidReel 2-wheel cart and use it every day. It's well thought-out and
truly awesome.

Pricey but worth every penny.
