Water in Floor

A week or so ago I noticed some water in the floor of my garage. Didn't think any thing about it as it is near the sink where wife gets water for her flowers. After a couple of days it was still there( about the same amount) and I wiped it up , next day about the same amount was there. I had the house built 10 years ago and have never seen water at any place in the garage. I am sure there are no pipes under the garage and we are in a very dry spell so I would think it unusual to have any ground water. Any Thoughts?

I wish that was true but the water is several feet from the sink so I'm sure it's not the sink leaking and the water reappears after wiping it up on days she does not water.

I assume there are not waterpipes overhead? is the wet spot a depression that could have leaked from the sink intermittantly and pooled there in enough quantity to not evaporate. Sure it's water and not the dog marking something?

Three possiblities,

1. Gremlins
2. Could be a portal to another dimension near by.. sometimes those
things will throw out the moisture.
3. Might not be water, could be ectoplasm.. Have you noticed any spirits
or spectures from the other side?

Just my thoughts.

okee doke. What ya need to do, to make sure it's not coming form inside the garage is wipe it up & tape a piece of plastic sheeting over the floor where the puddle appears.
If the puddle reappears on top of the sheet it's something inside the garage, if the puddle reappears under the sheet it's time to get out the concrete saw & investigate...

Where does the pipes come into the garage at for the water. Any pics of what you have? If it is a small spot there could be an overhead leak of some type. If it is a leak under the concrete it should slowly get bigger as the concrete soaks up the water. If per chance that there is a pipe underneath then chances are it was not insulated from the concrete (if it is copper) and has deteriorated. If there is a plastic pipe underneath it could be a bad joint. Also do you have any gutters that may be leaking back around the foundation and maybe have water running underneath? Does your foundation have block and footers or is it just a slab?
