Water lines inside

What kind of pipe would you run for hot and cold water lines inside your pole barn? (Heated pole Barn) The lines will be exposed and run across the ceiling and then down the walls at their locations. (On top of the finished metal)
CPVC, PEX, ?? (Copper would be great but I don't want to spend the money)

Call me old fashioned, it would have to be copper. The difference in price cant be that much.

If its going to be always heated I like the clean lines of copper. Tubing is going to waver unless you use a lot of restraints on a snapped line.

If there is a danger of it going sub 32 then I would use PEX because it won't burst and ruin your day.

It's every bit of 300 feet of pipe (hot and cold combined)
The restraints was gonna be my next question. If I go PEX I'd buy the roll and I think that'll tend to curl on me without using restraints every 4'. (That's how my joists run ) if I buy 10' sticks of PEX no problem, just a bunch of PEX splices .
I'll price copper and see where it puts me. I'm thinking 1/2" will suffice

The beauty of PEX is not having joints every 10 feet. PEX from a roll would be the answer here. If it absolutely has to be straight then go with copper.

The first house I pex'd was a mix of copper and pex. I ran pex all under the house but the penetrations into the house were copper. my thought was that if the pex was **** I could always grab the copper stubouts and go. Thats been 10 yrs ago. now I pex from the well to the faucet.

use the copper where you want it to look nice and pex the rest.
