Long story short. Ground the floor, turned out great.

Had my garage doors adjusted and weatherstripped. The door guy had some snowy/icy packaging that had parts in. They thawed since my garage is heated, left some brownish coloured watered (from the watery cardboard).

I hadn't done a final clean since grinding since I knew the door guy would be in there.

I scrubbed the floor in sections, with hot water and TSP. I would pour out the solution, scrub the area then quickly shop vac up the standing water. This was done after very very through sweeping & vacuuming.

The entire floor absorbs the water quickly, I do feel it's ready for epoxy as it's very clean, dust free. However there are still some marks from the cardboard water.

Im using the solvent rustoleum epoxy and will be doing 2 coats of color, I don't think these marks will effect it since they are absorbent, and 2 coats will help maintain colour consistently.

Should I be worried?

I should add im letting the freshly scrubbed floor dry out for a couple weeks while I'm on holidays, the final prep will be a wipe down with a residue free solvent
