Water Supply Depth Under Slab?

Does anyone know what the requirements are for bringing water supply line in underneath a slab? I’m building in Mansfield, Ohio (Richland County, Northeast Ohio)

This is a post frame build with pier footings, the slab is poured monolithically. The water supply will not be under any load bearing concrete. I just can’t seem to find in the plumbing code, any requirements for depth underneath the slab?

I know outside I’m looking at 38” depth (6” below frost line) but I see nothing for underneath the slab. This concrete slab will also be insulated around the perimeter.

Thanks in advance.

What's your frost line?
Here in Nebraska we generally go 5' or deeper with water.
Thanks for the reply. It looks like I had it wrong. Our frost line here in Richland County Ohio is 36” and they require 6” below so I’m at 42” outside of the building.

Inside is what I’m unsure of. Some articles I read say 12” below slab inside the foundation. I can’t find anything in the plumbing code that specifies under slab depth for water supply.

I'd keep it same as outside to be safe,ya never know when your heat is going to go off.

Ummm, word of warning.... Richland county are real PITA to deal with. Nobody in Crawford County has anything nice to say about them.

Might want to call and ask or stop by to get your information. Maybe even see if they will print it off for you as a backup.

The water line in my garage basically right under the concrete floor, bedded in. 6-8" of concrete over and I do keep it heated during the winter. Never an issue with the black polyethylene from TSC.
