water water everywhere, pole building leaks

A few months ago I had a drip coming from the ceiling in my 3 rd bay.
I have standing seam metal roof. No exposed fasteners. I figured the Fir trees did me dirt and I was the victim of a Fir needle dam. So I made my way up on the roof, after it was dry. Cleaned up the area where the 2 roofs meet. And it seemed to be good. Till Saturday. Had some good rains. Dripping really good, even more Sunday, big rains. So I'm not sure where to start. To make matters worse my walls under the rear windows were leaking. . I suspect the wind was driving the rain up under the flashing?
I think I will add some closure strips around the windows and seal the flashing. The flashing I think is C channel. Almost seems like the top of the window flashing should not be a C. Like my garage door. (see pics)

Not having fun.

Ideas? Similar experience?

Where are you in the PNW? If I remember right you might be in Oregon. I'm north of Seattle in Arlington. If we were close enough I'd be willing to come look at it as I spent the last half of my sheet metal career in architectural stuff (commercial) but it's really hard to tell what's going on there without standing on it and putting eyes on it.The C channel at the top is right if it's done correctly.. Closure strips are a must. Feel free to PM me or whatever for questions. Gonna need more close-up pics of exactly what they did.

I'm in Puyallup. If dry, I'll hop up and snap some close ups on the roof.
My daughter witnessed one of the crew slide off my roof as they were building it, rainy day. Luckily he just took the rest of the day off and was fine. Yikes.

I'm sure they didn't use closure strips anywhere as I have added them over the garage doors and the bottom of the walls, so far.

Depends on which side of the standing seam is facing the water runoff from the upper roof. When they made the panels on site for a local airport hanger they caulked the female side of the standing seam as they rolled the panel.

That roof overlap area makes me cringe. Too many ways to let water in.

The window area looks like it is damming and overflowing then could be running in at the top window frame.

+1 that your "builder" left you cluster fawk and didn't understand flashing.

Window can be fixed by taking loose metal above window and sliding in proper flashing and sealant/tar.

Roof will be much more difficult. I'd say call in competent roofing company and see what they'd charge to fix roof. My .02 guess is that bunch of roof metal needs removed and proper valley installed up there. Good luck.

I'm not much help, however here is one small tip that may help. I own a very old Victorian home with a shocking amount of roof angles, hips, valleys and small roofs. We often "hunt" for leaks with food coloring placed in water. Pour red here, blue there, etc. till we see which color comes through. Has helped me isolate leaks in the past.

New leak - new area! I'm cursed.
The 3rd bay has not dripped a bit since I have been keeping needle dams free of that area.
Now its leaking in the center bay near the 3rd bay. Cant see much as I have some OSB up on the ceiling in that area.

I like a challenge.......... I prefer to pick and choose my challenges.
