Hello all, I am installing a water furnace along with water heaters, one buffer tank to be connected the water furnace and one electric that feeds off the buffer, here is my question, the plumber friend I got installation advise told me to remove the drain valve on the buffer tank, and install pipe extension and add a "T" reinstall original valve in "T" and plum the water furnace to the remaining side of the "T". what I am asking is do I really have to do all that, I already have water in the tank and brass fittings are a pain to find in my area(plumber says galvanized will turn my water green) can I just hook the waterfurnace up to the buffer tank drain and simply open the drain and it will work, I could plum in a "T" near that connection point if I ever wanted to drain the tank? do you see the water heater drain valve being restrictive? even if fully open?
