Does anybody make a decent watering wand that attaches to a garden hose?
Ideally it would be extendable and have various spray patterns.
I have two Ray Padula models from Menards and they are both pieces of **** that lasted about a year each.

Whatever I can find cheap at a garage sale. They usually work better than new ones, tho the last was a turd, cracked fitting.

I've been using these nozzles from Lowes & have been pretty happy with them. They don't feel cheap like all the previous ones I've used & I've come to like the thumb control lever. They haven't failed on me yet either.

If I were to buy a wand I think I'd try the same Orbit ones as they look to have the same build quality & features. But I have no experience with their wands, just throwing it out there.

I've had the Orbit wand for about 3 months. So far I'm happy with it. I liked it the most out of all my local options.

Thanks for the recs so far!
I cobbled a wand together out of old parts. Got the swivel head to stop dripping only to find the control valve leaks. DOH!
Going to try the Ray Padula site for a warranty replacement.

i use drip irrigation for my vegetable garden now, and it's a game changer. automated precision watering saves so much time and sweat.

Same here. Just put a system in with Wi-Fi, a phone interface, and automated watering. 3 zones: front plants, patio plants, vegetable garden. Wife is thrilled that it saves her 30 minutes a day. No more dragging hoses around to water plants. Hot day? Just use the phone app to water more.

Still need the wand for cleaning, car washing, and other chores.

My Orbit lasted less than a week :(

I have an old shower head that I have been saving to make into a wand for the wife. The goal is to not have one piece of plastic.

I got tired of buying new ones so I took a cue from my employer and started buying these. Kinda expensive initially but so far so good. It's been about 6 years since I bought these. Holding up very well.

The < $10 one from Aldi isn't extendable but it works. I have it hooked up to the hose when I am in the pool and aim for a tree to water. 3 of the 10? patterns work for that.
