Waterloo tool cabinet lost key? Drill lock?

Was just helping a friend move from one place to another and she gave me her Waterloo small tool cabinet. Has tools inside still, but she said she has no clue where the key is. This has probably been in her garage for 5+ years or so, clearly she's never needed whatever is inside..lol

Is there a way to get a key for this or is it best I just take a drill bit and drill in the center of the lock?

I've never had to "break" into anything before but from what makes sense to me shouldn't be difficult unless I'm missing something. If I don't have to drill into the lock and could get a key that would be best, but if I have to drill then I would imagine I just get another lock/key combo. Seems rather generic honestly compared to the round "server" type keys that I have for my extreme tool chest.

Looking for recommendations.

Contact Waterloo give them serial number they should be able to send a replacement

there should be a number by the keyhole
take that number t a locksmith and he should be able to supply a key

Those type locks are very easy to pick. You can try any other keys you might have like those for a truck topper.

Just apply light turning pressure and saw it in and out a few times. If this doesn't work you can pick it open just look at you tube for ideas.

It takes two tools one to apply very light turning force and one to move the discs. It will ot be as easy as TV detectives do it but it can be done and is a lot of fun to experiment with.
