Hi,
I have some air in my water lines and when the ciculating pump kicks in I get a little banging. There is a watts fv-4m1 automatic float vent valve on it and I believe it to be bad. When I open the screw in vent on the very top of it I get some air to come out and then water. I dont think water should come out. It should seal when the air comes out am I correct in saying that? I think it may be between 5 - 7 years old. I moved in 2 years ago and the top cap has been screwed in all the way since I bought the house. according to the watts site it says to have it screwed out at least 2 turns. Is this valve shot? If I replace it will this fix my issue with water coming out of it?
Thanks
