My foundation guy is awesome at pouring a foundation...the forms were nice and straight and the foundation was square down to 3/8 of an inch. The framer even commented on how good it was and how it made his job very easy with the sill setup, shimming, etc. Having the same guy pour my slab because he is "not too bad" at it (besides he was cheap) maybe was'nt the best decision on my part. I'm bummed. After spending some time on the floor and walking around, I'm noticing some issues. And this time I don't think I'm being too picky.
I had thoughts of ripping up the whole slab and starting over. I guess that's why I'm here talking about it...If anyone has any other suggestions I would love to listen.
Not that I'm planning on building race cars in here or run a machine shop, but I was having a hard time just laying out some 2x4s to stud out a wall. There are certain things you do in a garage and you rely on the floor to be flat. I do a little welding and fabbing and I can't imagine laying out a steel frame or channel and expect it to come out anything other than warped.
Help!
