Nah. But I used to wash/wax the painted finish on the gas pack every couple of years. Unit lasted 26 years and looked better than the average in the end. The new unit is powder coated, we'll see what that looks like in a couple of years.
I have never seen any that need it.
20 and 30 year old building sitting out the middle of north IL fields still looking good.
The companies know where to spend their money, and paint seems to be one place.
