Wayne Air Compressor info needed

A guy near me has an old Wayne Air Compressor for sale.

He said that is a 5 Horse(1 Phase) 2 Stage pump on an 80 gallon vertical tank.

I don't get the impression that he knows a lot about it, but said he bought it from an old Service Station and thought it might have been made in 60s.

I have heard that Wayne Compressors are high quality units, but have not been able to find a lot of info about them.

In the size range I am talking about, are they pressure lubed or splash lubed?

Is there a particular model that I should prefer or avoid?

He said that he ran it for a couple months before getting a different compressor and it ran great, but it is not hooked up so I won't be able to see it run.

Anything specific to look for when inspecting?

What is it worth?

Where can I get parts/Info?

Wayne made a whole range of compressors and did so for many decades, a model # or photos would help. There are plenty of Wayne threads, search in "free parking" and "General tool" areas for the best results.

I just re-did the head on a 1974 120 gallon Wayne/Le Roi. Built very well. Was used in a brake reline shop. Splash lubricated.
You really need to run it to see how fast it pumps up and how the motor works to be safe and sure of a good compressor.
Some parts can be hard to find depending on year and model.
