I have a Wayne air compressor model 376VS, it doesn't have the original electric motor on it. I think it might not be the right rpm motor for the compressor. Is this compressor supposed to have a 1725 rpm motor or a 3450 rpm motor? The motor on it right now is a 1725 rpm motor with the pulley from the original motor. The compressor seems to be turning slow to me, and builds pressure really slow for the size of the compressor. The compressor does seem to have plenty compression when turned by hand, so I fell it must be a rpm issue. Can anyone answer this question for me?

The motor that’s on it right now is a 1 hp 220 volt motor. It runs the compressor, but it is really small compared to the base it's mounted on. I would say it use to have a big cast iron motor on it before. I'm thinking it might have even been a 3 phase motor. I'm sure it must have been at least 3 to 5 hp before. I f anyone can give me some info on the compressor it would be greatly appreciated. I've attached 2 pictures of the compressor.
