Wayne Dalton 9700 Garage door and IDrive

They ROCK!!! Just had my new door installed this is the top of the line WD garage door. Designed to look like a wood carriage house door and have the benefits of a highly insolated modern GD. We went with the 16 window version. The window are tinted until you walk up to them and peek into the garage. I also went with the IDrive which gets rid of the ugly old center hanging GD opener. It runs parallel with the GD and is as quite as can be. Everything is wireless, openers, key pad outside the door, GD Light and the indoor key pad... NO WIRES! There are no more little eyes you have to hop over. It has a pet function that lift the door up 4" to let your animal breath. It also has a function were the door will wait 10 seconds and then go down. It has a very quiet motor too. Smooth operation and great quality. Never knew I could get so excited about a garage door!

I think I'm gonna break down and get one of the WD openers eventually. Every review of them makes them sound better and better.

Ok... Ok... You want some pictures...well here they are. I just wrapped up all my electrical today. Saturday we tape and mud. Another week or two she should be completed! The guys came last week and hun the ceiling drywall best $500 I have spent well... since the $1000 I paid to have the concrete ripped out from the driveway. I love the garage door and Idrive... The whole backyard and shop is coming togeather...slow but surely!

Here is the other project that has been going on for the passed 3 weeks. I had 2000 Sqft of paver and grass stone laid. It was fun watching these guys do their trade. I have to give it to them this is a hard job. It turned out amazing. I live in a 1920's Historic Neighborhood in Denver so we get lots of families walking their kids and dogs. If I am outside everyone wants to chat about them. As much fun as it was to watch them do the work I am sooooo glad to see them get their trailor, Pallets of stone, piles of sand and dirt, and trash off the street. I highly recommend Pavers especially in climates like Denver.

Beautiful work! I love it when garages are so well integrated into the entire plan of the property. The French doors on the garage are a very nice touch--I may steal that one...

Well I got more done this weekend. Friday dumped 25 bags of soil and cut 18 rolls of sod into 4" squares to fill the holes in the grass stone. Saturday morning I got up and started taping and filling the screw holes. Then I got started again this morning and skimed the joints and went over the screw holes again. Also squared up my corners with aluminum corners and mud. She is coming togeather tomorrow after work I will sand and hopefully we can throw texture on the walls on Wed.
