I have a Wayne Model-70 Gas pump
the serial number is 199,931-BDL
also says No A-461882

does anyone know how to date these pumps to know when it was made?

Also... its currently painted as Richfield (before I got it)... I bleieve it was something else originally.. just wondering if Richfield is correct for this type of pump... and what the Richfield pumps would have looked like in the era that this pump was made... which globe should I buy for it, etc....

thanks alot for any help

....unless the pump has the original tag on it, you'll probably never know the specific year it was made....The Wayne 70 was a good seller for the company so they just made the same model(s) year after year until a new design gasoline flow mechanism was manufactured.

. Wayne has made pumps for every oil company out there. Mobil, Sunoco, Chevron were their biggest customers for awhile. They had the only mechanical blender that I knew of for along time, Sunoco used them exclusively for a long while. Talking in the 50s,60s though

Zach, according to the Gasoline Pump Blue Book the serial numbers put it at early 1948. 1948 production started with 199113 and ended with 210905, if I'm reading it correctly. Wayne 70s were made thru 1951
