I've got a shopping cart of Pressmaster Crimper, Frame and a bunch of Perma Seal connectors. Love the Perma Seal lineup...

I can't / won't checkout as the shipping costs is a unknown #. Which to me means, it can be $14 or it can be $50.....

Anyone have any alternatives ya'll can suggest

I did call them.
I asked if there was any way to get a shipping quote. Even if I was to place my order, can you call me to verify shipping costs if I was to give you my order #, etc.
Rep was like no, we charge for the order and whatever shipping is, once we ship it, that is what we charge.

I found a few threads where a single order was shipped out in 3-4 boxes and shipping was $$$
Another mention of product costing X, but the shipping was like $19 just for X product

I looked at delcity. They did not seem to carry my preferred Perma Seal connectors....once I used these, I literally gave away all the other connectors I had in my parts bin

Been a while since I placed an order (2012) and shipping on $20 worth of parts that would fit in a USPS Small Flat Rate box was 10.**. Not the cheapest but not so unreasonable that I won't order from them again. I'm actually getting ready to put another order together and won't worry about the shipping on it either.

YMMV.

Edit: If Del City has what you need (they don't carry the Pressmaster but have other crimpers) they have more reasonable minimums and will give you shipping costs in advance. But if you're putting in a order that's large enough for the minimums to not matter, WayTek is probably cheaper.

I ordered the pressmaster from them along with some dies. The shipping was reasonable. In fact, i think they charged quite a bit of money for shipping when the charge was pending, but it came out to be a reasonable amount after it posted. You can always buy the WIHA branded one for ALOT more money. I just installed a whole new wiring harness in a 65 chevy C10 with the pressmaster. It was AWESOME. Does anyone know if you can buy dies that will crimp double wide open barrel terminals?

Shipping from Waytek has always been reasonable for me. They package very well and the shipping costs are not bad.

Why did I not check GJ first? Yesterday ordered some connectors and heat shrink. $39.69 to ship it. Total of 3.2# and they used TWO boxes. A good ebay store would have fit all of this in the smallest USPS Flat Rate box. I have a call in with them so we'll see what they can come up with. Told them if they don't fix it on their end that i'll reverse charges on my card and send the stuff back to them for $5.

Waytek charges way too much for shipping. Last couple of orders have $80+. Overall, it still works out to be cheaper than delcity with 15% off and free shipping.

Is it standard ground shipping? Most of the places I've dealt with high shipping prices before ended up being next day. Sucked when I wasn't in a hurry. I was looking at waytek for some upcoming projects so am in to see what everyone has to say
