WD-40 specialized products preview via TG

5 new formulas:

rust-release penetrant
silicone lube
white lithium grease
corrosion inhibitor
rust remover soak

It will be interesting to see how these products perform against competitors. WD-40 says they're "best in class" but that's something PR types hype up with every release.

This is totally screwing with everything I thought was right in the world..

Why would WD-40 need all those variations.... it already does all of that itself!!! Right?

Why would the put those horrible bend to stream tip things on them. I have never had one that worked, I hate them with a passion.

I was over at Home depot recently. It seems PB Blaster has also developed a similar product line to the WD-40 products.
In fact they have a large can of what is the same as WD-40. It sells for about half the price of WD-40, has the detachable straw, and works just as good!
Check it out!

My son has an auto repair business, and he swears by PB Blaster.
My old RR employers on the other hand , used to buy cases of CRC by the pallet load.

My 2 cents is......whatever works and is on-sale.

I gotta check the new products out.

I am not a fan of that Smart Straw nozzle arrangement. While handy, it suffers from having too much internal volume. This makes spraying very small amounts impossible. The oil has to fill the large internal passages in the nozzle each time, then the dissolved propellant forces the oil out the straw or orifice. You either end up with more product on your work than you wanted, or end up with a dribbling nozzle making a mess. It's impossible to accurately control the slow.

I bought some WD40 duckbill spray bottles that are refillable, aerosol cans are designed to waste product.

WD40 has had these products for a long time. They are labeled Blue Works and are targeted more to industry. I think now they're trying to mainstream the product with the WD40 name.
