Uch, they're affiliated with hardforum, I believe. That forum isn't well moderated either imho - too many immature people ruin a lot of otherwise decent threads.

Not that forums need to be run like communist regimes, but there's freedom, and then there's chaos.

I have no idea what that forum is. I ran across it searching for info on my Thorsen 77. I saw the mention of garagejournal.com so I read a little more, only to find we were being made fun of.

What the hell is that forum all about?

Apparently it's a computer hardware/software/overclocking/modding website called General Mayhem. And they think we're nerds. I pretty sure most of us don't have pocket protectors and tape on our spectacles.:pimpflash

Well at least no pocket protector.

Corvetteforum.com is a pretty cool hangout though... lots to see and do there. LOTS of traffic.

i had a quick look through. It's full of s**t. Lots of people who think they know it all, but they don't.

Us > them. By miles.
Thats pretty typical though. Most forums are full of know-it-alls that are idiots. This forum has a lot of knowledge both collectively and individually.

This is the best forum out there IMHO. This is the only place I have ever thought was worth posting on and continually checking out for info, pics, and what have you. all other forums should :bowdown:to garagejournal.

Considering what I have seen on the other forum as well as noticing the lack of brain power some of them have when it comes to thinking of a half decent discussion topic, I can see why they would need to try to make fun of another forum.

Eschoendorff your right, that forum does ****!!!

Aside from the idiots on that forum, what do you guys think of the brown board with the white fonts?

Completely Fugly.

I have been posting online since the dark days of usenet. Some kids on a hacker board are insignificant.

This does bring up a good point though. Kids who have no experience in or respect for tools. How to enlighten them?

Why bother? Natural selection will take care of them. If it doesn't, a 12-gauge can take care of the unnatural selection..

Or you could select Elroy's "attitude adjuster"

This old iron applied correctly will correct most bent out of shape conditions

The funny thing is; the page he chose to link to isn't really that extreme in the sense of how many tools that are shown! If you look at any journeyman level tech they will have as much, if not more then is shown in most of the pics!
