Looking for a laptop to edit video and photos.

If I have to spend $1500- 2k, I’ll get a MacBook Pro.

I don’t want to spend that much lol

At that price you'd probably be better of building a desktop. But check the latest Dell i7577. Going to need the i7 processor and highest dedicated GPU. If you need the 4K screen option, it'll put you over $1000. Check if the standard IPS display is good enough for you.

Costco has pretty good deals on computers. I bought a Lenovo laptop for about $100 less that I would have paid elsewhere. If you've got a card (or a friend with a card) it's good place to start.

16GB RAM, 500GB SSD, reasonably fast i7 processor, 15" touch screen - $899.
I use it for some of the same things you're asking about, but I plug it into a real monitor if I'm doing any serious work.
