I purchased a front and rear set from Amazon due to the positive comments in the other thread.
Not a big fan. Paid like $180 for the front and back of my truck, been installed about two weeks now. Both have smooth surfaces, so they slide all over, unlike the factory mats which have the little spikes in the bottom. The drivers side mat includes a plastic screw which you have to screw into your carpet.
The plastic is cheap and thin. It's thin enough it won't rebound or lay flat from how it came. The cheap-o factory mats were rubber and laid down nice, plus they were about twice the weight. The rear mat won't lay flat so it gets hit by the seat tracks if we move the seats at all. (Passenger side only.) The fit is just so-so. Due to the complete lack of rebound, the drivers side that's molded to "wrap" around the firewall edge is splayed out about 2 inches away from it. I think if I hit it with a heat gun to bend it back and then tape it with some double-sided tape it might look halfway decent.
They are definitely attractive where they fit correctly, but they're cheap and thin and the engineering seems pretty absent-minded. Am I missing something here, or is there a hardon for them just because they're "made in America?"
