I purchased a front and rear set from Amazon due to the positive comments in the other thread.

Not a big fan. Paid like $180 for the front and back of my truck, been installed about two weeks now. Both have smooth surfaces, so they slide all over, unlike the factory mats which have the little spikes in the bottom. The drivers side mat includes a plastic screw which you have to screw into your carpet.

The plastic is cheap and thin. It's thin enough it won't rebound or lay flat from how it came. The cheap-o factory mats were rubber and laid down nice, plus they were about twice the weight. The rear mat won't lay flat so it gets hit by the seat tracks if we move the seats at all. (Passenger side only.) The fit is just so-so. Due to the complete lack of rebound, the drivers side that's molded to "wrap" around the firewall edge is splayed out about 2 inches away from it. I think if I hit it with a heat gun to bend it back and then tape it with some double-sided tape it might look halfway decent.

They are definitely attractive where they fit correctly, but they're cheap and thin and the engineering seems pretty absent-minded. Am I missing something here, or is there a hardon for them just because they're "made in America?"

I'm actually pretty sorry to hear that you don't like them... I liked that they were actually made here instead of China., and had hoped they were a superior product.

You may want to look at Husky Liners. I've used them in several vehicles with no complaints.

I hate that. Unfortunately there are a lot of "Made in US" products that are twice the price and half the quality of import stuff. I'm all for domestic products, but feel gipped when I pay a lot more for less.

I've had several sets of the Weathertech mats and thought they worked quite well. Mine are heavy rubber, and weigh a ton. They don't slide around either. Maybe it depends on the make and model car.

Make sure that they are WeatherTechs. I have had the opposite experience, mine do not slide and fit the floor like they came from the factory. I have to flip mine up from time to time to store the seats and have no problem with them laying flat. I have recommended them to many people and so far all are satisfied. Hopefully you have the correct product.

Weathertech makes 2 different mat styles. The original All Weather is very thick and heavy rubber mat that is made for the car and fits well. The other type, newer, are the digital fit that are (supposed to be) an exact fit in the car that are a thinner more plastic like material with a ridge around the edge. I have had the All Weather style in my last 4 vehicles and they are great.

I have heard a number of complaints about the digital fit mats being thin and cheap looking. If you are not happy with the mats see if you can exchange them for the All Weather models. Weathertech is a great company with great customer service and I appreciate the fact they produce their products here in the US.

I happen to like the digital fit "liners" that I have in all of my cars. Well over 100,000 miles on two of them and the carpet underneath still looks like new.

It almost sounds like you got the wrong mat. I have had them in 4 vehicles and I recommend them to everyone.

They are a very vehicle specific mat. Options such as 4x4, AWD, 2wd, auto or manual will most likely end in a different model number. You sure you got the right ones?

We got the Weathertech mats front and back for the wife's Murano. Good fit. No sliding. But, the edge lip is lower than the Husky version for my Yukon so it tends to still spill "overflow" snow melt - which kinda defeats the purpose.

I have Weather Tech's in my '08 Silverado 3500 Crew Dually. They fit fine but they're plastic, NOT rubber. They get scarred up from grit that gets under your shoes and when you wash them they look dull. If you put some kind of dressing on them so they look good again, (as I did) they get REALLY slick. Unsafely slick in my opinion. I keep them because they are good at trapping water like when I take my Jetski's out, but in my opinion, they are NOT as good as the thick rubber mats I bought from Pep Boys and had in my '02 Dodge Ram.

I have the weathertech floor liners in my 2010 Tundra RW and love them, keeps all my folth in one hosable tray, factory mats left too much uncovered and I kept getting much all over my carpet and in the crack of the sill plate, the liners prevent that, and my liners don't really have room to move but still engage the drivers mat locking tabs

I outfit all my cars and trucks with weathertech and love them, never had problems with them sliding around, they fit each trucks floor like a glove. I just cleaned out my pickup over the weekend and thought to myself "damn cowboy these are kick *** floor liners". I also like Husky products.

I kind of felt the same way. I have two the trunk liners (no floor mats). But I liked the BMW stuff (made in Slovakia) much better. There's a company in Germany (don't know name) that makes high quality mats for a reasonable price. About the same you paid I think. I found them in the Bavarian AutoSport catalog.

"Made in America" doesn't necessarily mean quality to me. In fact, I only think it appears that way to some given how poor some of the overseas quality is today.

LL Bean also offers all-weather mats. Don't know if they're re-branded weather tech or not.

Not knocking weather tech but it didn't strike me as great stuff. But then again, I don't have a lot of experience, and how excited can you get about a mat:)

Made in US really didn't mean anything to me when I bought mine - I bought mine because they were the best ones out there for the price. Sounds like you got the wrong type of mat or something because I disagree with pretty much every thing you said. Mine are thick rubber, don't move around at all, conform to my floorboards perfectly, and hold water great. I've had mine for about two years now and I love them - jump right into the car without worry about knocking the snow off my shoes and they hold the water well.

I'm on my 3rd vehicle that I've bought WeatherTech mats for, needless to say I've been very pleased with the product.

have you tried contacting the company? It's worth a shot and you may actually be pleasantly surprised at their reaction to your issues.

I really like the look of the DigitalFit's, and the fact they go over the interior door sill trim really works nice. They are the most attractive I've seen, and the water holding capability could be better, but is far better than the factory mats.

I'll get some pictures of the problems I'm having, and try WeatherTech customer service and let you know what I get. I ordered from Amazon so they'll be easy to return, I'm not worried about that.

Mine fit almost like someone poured rubber into the footwell. I couldn't make them slide if I tried. Best winter mats I've ever had.

We had WeatherTech mats in our Envoy and they worked great. I still have them in my attic somewhere. I should try to get rid of them since we traded the Envoy in three years ago.

From looking at the site some cars have custom fit ones but others seem to be generic.
