WeatherTek Car "Mats" = Awesome

Purchased these WeatherTek Floor protectors and just had to show you guys how awesome they are. They're SO deep, coming up the sides far enough offering REAL protection. So much better than any other mats I've seen or tried, where the dirt or water falls off the sides or just over-whelmes the mat altogether.

This first one is in Mrs. E-tek's FreeStyle. The car has a real deep foot well that traps dirt and water. Now it'll all stay contained within this thing.

The next one is in my Dodge Caravan. These are even better, as they come togther in the centre, covering the entire front area, plus they flare out to the door which makes it easier to wipe stuff out the door.

They are good. I have the liners in three cars and the normal all weather mats in another. The carpet in all four looks like it did the day I brought them home from the dealer. They are pricy but they ARE worth it.

Next floormats I buy are going to be WeatherTek's, based basically on their "Made in the USA" ad campain.

I've had them in the last 4 vehicles. Love em.
Plus, I get to pick them up from their DC he in Chicago. No Shipping.
They are also the Private label maker for the Cabella's brand.

I put them in my 2008 Silverado when I bought it. Been great, especially when it's been raining for a week at the horse barn and I have to slog through the mud and then climb back in the truck. Hose them off when I get home and they're good as new.

They are the only mats worth considering. I have been using them ever since I first saw their ad in Car and Driver, at least 10 years ago.

Another example of getting what you pay for.

I bought my mom a set for her 08 4runner the Christmas after she got it. They are amazing and after around 40k miles her carpet still looks new as do the mats.

too bad their customer service *****. i ordered a set on jan 21st and received tracking information for my package the same day. no package was shipped. i thought they were just back-ordered so i didn't call them until yesterday. they said there was a "glitch" with the inventory and my package was never sent out though they had them in stock the whole time. they did overnight the package and i received it today. the first thing i noticed was the rear mats weren't in the box. so i proceed to install the digital fit front mats. unfortunately, the mats they sent me did not fit whatsoever. so i called their customer service again and after another 15-minute hold time i got a representative that seemed to not give a **** about my problem. after reading her the part number from the back of the mats, she concluded that they were not the mats i ordered and were for a completely different car, all the while giving me this bitchy attitude (which was totally uncalled for). so i opted to not deal with their crappy customer service anymore and asked for a refund. she said they will issue a call tag for ups to pick these mats up and that it would take 4-5 days for this to happen. then i would have to wait for them to receive the mats and process the refund which will take even longer.

so to sum it up:

- order placed more than 3 weeks ago
- had to call to get my package sent
- received wrong items (and missing items)
- had to call again to complain
- unprovoked rude customer service
- have to return these wrong mats
- have to wait about two weeks to get my refund
- still have plastic on my truck's carpet.

i don't care how nice the mats are. they will never earn my business again.

I had a shipping and fitment issue with them once. I found their responsiveness to email to be poor...so I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was connected immediately, he apologized profusely and sent out the proper matts (and an extra). I'm sorry you had a bad experience with their customer service, but that's certainly not a uniform result (my experience was 2 months ago).

I've now had their matts in 7 different vehicles, and won't buy anything else.

I've got WeatherTechs in my '08 Silverado 3500 Crew dually and though they mostly fit well, mine are black and show wear due to grit being stepped on.

Not a big issue to a lot of guys but if you try to wipe them down with Armorall or similar, they become slick and slippery.

In SoCal they're not as necessary as other parts of the country. But I ski in winter and JetSki in summer and they protect well, but I had the cheap raised edge gray mats from Pep Boys in my old '02 Dodge crew cab and they sufficed fine...here.

One corner of mine has started to pull away from the carpet but I think I could use my heat gun and bend it back to its original shape.

Let me further qualify my picture by saying those were new when that was taken... they have gotten scuffed up from dirt and grit underfoot, but clean up reasonably well and no, you definitely don't want to Armorall them!

Are you sure that the ones in Cabelas are made by them?
Yes, they are.

I've used them since my '92 Toyota was new. First set was black, lasted 12 + years, second set was grey, lasted less than 5 years, called them up and asked about a warranty, they discounted me a few bucks on some brand new black ones.

Great company, but get the black ones, if you want them to last, (in my experience)

How and where did they wear out? Do you think it was the color - or would they have changed the material they used.....hmmmm...

I saw the commercial a few weeks ago and was very intrigued. The "USA" ad on their site is cool - just about every piece of machinery they use is made in USA. I might get some, just for the front floors though.

I put a WeatherTek liner in the cargo area of my Pathfinder when I first got it 6 years ago. I haul a lot of **** back there and the carpet still looks like new. An excellent product for sure.

I bought some other brand which were moulded like weathertech but cheaper. They did not fit at all and were cupped and would not lay flat. Sent them back and had to pay ton to ship them back due to their oversize.
What a pain. Living in California I'm tempted to go with another brand as well for my wife's Acadia as three rows of mats will cost a bit much.

The owner is a member and racer with the SCCA. Its magazine, Sportscar, just featured him. He moved every bit of his production and material sourcing to the USA. He is a big believer in made in the USA and praises - as he should - the American worker as being the best in the world. They do everything in house. I want a set for my Silverado to replace the cheap Wal-Mart stuff I have.

I bought weathertek mats for my dodge truck when it was new in 1995. Still have them. They have held up very well.

I have WT trunk mats in both my cars and like them. In a BMW I put the OEM rubber mats instead. Much preferred them to the Weathertek.

I will not buy any other mat, they are fantastic.

Do not confuse the Laser Molded mats with their regular ones, it is the Laser Molded ones that are the best I have ever owned.

I'll probably forget, someone bring this thread back two the top in two weeks.

They are a great product. I have them in my F250 crew cab, front and rear, they are worth every penny.

I have probably sold about a half dozen sets, since everyone that sees them wants a set...I found that Cabela's website often has the best pricing on them.

I've got them in my 03 Excursion all the way to the 3rd row seats. Pricey but worth every penny. My carpet still looks new.

My current daily driver I bought used, a Chevy S10, and it came with them in. I immediatly disliked them for their looks but in my usual laziness I kept them in.
The first winter with dragging in melting snow on your shoes and the stones and pebbles that come with it and I was hugely impressed.
Whereas on other mats if there was much water it would just run off the edge onto the carpet, these will retain a small pond on them without the mess ever touching the carpet. More than once I've had to carefully lift the mat out to dump the accumulated water that otherwise would have been soaked into my floor.
I love them and will have them in future vehicles. These ARE the workhorses of floormats!

I have simular ones in my Jeep. They are great.

But... please be careful putting them back in after cleaning them. I hosed them off, dried them and just threw them back in. Well the next time I drove I nearly had a heart attack when the floor pedal wouldn't return to the top and I had to put it in neutral and pull over. I had inadvertently put the mat ON TOP of the pedal!! OOOOPS.

I have a set in my Jeep. Most awesome. I've spilled an entire 32 oz. soda on the floor, and didn't get a drop on the carpet. Just soak up the mess, wipe down with a wet rag, and your in business!

I like the WT in my BMW better than the OE rubber mats the salesman gave my wife after we bought the 2nd BMW from him. The OE mats are non slip, but I don't think they look as good as the WT mats. Nice that the include hooks to hold them in place that fit the hole in the floor for the supplied OE carpet mats.
