I purchased a house and in the pole barn is a single post floor hoist. I was told that it works fine but haven't been able to try it until just the other day. Well to say the least it didn't lift! I notice that air is leaking around the base and I had a piece of pipe about 5 ft long and checked the oil! It is about 16in from the top. I believe it needs seals!!!anyone know how full the tank should be? Also they changed the control valve to a ball valve!! where is a good place to buy parts for this??? Any info or insight will be appreciated as I have worked very little on these in the past.. Also what weight and type of oil should I use ??
Thanks
Jim

Yes I have searched .. Found out that they were bought out in the late 80s by rotary lift... Just wanted to see if anyone here has them or has had them and what they have thought about them. I've used lifts in the past for years single double and four post but this is my first one. Just looking for some info also I can't find a manual for this lift. I seen castle has info on the company.. I appreciate all info greatly
Thanks again
Jim

SVI and panzitta sales both have parts diagrams for weaver lifts. I have a 2 post weaver afh 88 that I'm in final stages of refurbishing.

Here are some links to parts diagrams:

http://www.sviinternational.com/node/38347

http://panzittasales.com/parts/lifts/weaver/‎

http://www.aescosc.com/pdfs/SVI/lrc9600b.pdf

Majority of stuff comes back to SVI as the supplier for these parts, however, they won't sell to the public. Good news is that it seems majority of local lift installers and maint. companies use SVI. Panzitta sales seems to have a stock of parts.

It's also worth noting that I have found (at least for my above ground) that majority of the mechanical parts can be had via normal sources (i.e. my chain wheels are merely steel sleeves with pressed in standard bearings, chains can be had by other companies as well like motion industries)

Great source for seal kits:

Should also check with any hydraulic places you may have near by. I was fortunate that a hydraulic place is 45 minutes in Hudsonville, MI.

Castle was helpful for me as they seem to have manufacture info based on serial number. This was needed on my lift as after a certain date the cylinders were different.

While castle didn't have any manuals for above grounds, they might for in ground. SVI seemed to have some owners manuals, just not mine.

Hope this helps.

Where in Michigan are you located?

I'm in Grand Blanc Mi. The tag is off of the lift so I don't have that to go from but going from the drawings and the lift arms have weaver cast into them.. Thanks for the info..I will see if there is a distributer around here.

I'm in Greenville.

Allied was also a great source of information, in fact they have a couple of guys that recall the weaver lifts! One was able to dig up an owners manuals for a similar 2 post to mine.

Allied is a source to obtain SVI parts (be prepared for high prices!)
