So I'm getting married to a wonderful girl in June and we started making a gift registry at sears, but I'm having a hard time thinking of things to add to it because for one I just can't think of anything I need, I have basic hand tools, and two I don't want Chinese craftsman stuff. Any ideas would be great!!!

Man, I wish I would have thought to add tools to my wedding register. Dude, put a few wrench sets, socket sets, maybe an air tool or two and WTF put a tool box on the list. Who knows, you may get lucky. And if you do get something you don't want/need, take it back and get what you want. Good luck on your new adventure!

My wife was nice enough to let me do the same at Sears. I put a few obscure things on the registry that I hasn't bought myself, basically stuff that would rarely get used but nice to have in case you need it. I ended up with a few of the items and then a few hundred bucks in Sears gift cards, which was just as nice

I'm betting your wife was thinking housewares and patio stuff and appliances when she let Sears get added to the registry.
Is she really gonna be cool with wedding gifts that are not for you "both"?
If so, you found a keeper.

In my case we already had all the traditional registry type gifts. It was actually her suggestion to register for tools since she registered for mostly girl type stuff at bed bath and beyond. Guess I got a keeper :)

Open up a Snap On registry.

Best thing I did. I knew I had a "problem" when the Snap-On man and his wife were at our wedding:D That being said, he is a great friend. But no kidding, a Snap On registry works. I just had a print out, and people took it from there.

The combo wrenches and sockets are all US made. So if they are on you list you will be fine. All the Craftsmen impact sockets are US made as well. The slim profile are either US or taiwan. Not chinese junk. If you do want to get some gear wrench form craftsmen. You can get lucky with a US set, if not just exchange at a store, they have US ones out there. Sears also carries channel lock. Bigger selection on sears.com then at the store. Also you can add some US made vaughn hammers they are pretty nice. And on the registry if people are looking on line, you can fine armstrong tools on the sears website. People sometime just have the wedding gift delivered. Instead of going to the store themselves allot of time, especially if it is an out of town wedding for them.

You can also put some of the knipex pliers on you list. Pricey German made tool. Sears carry them to at the store and on line.
