I'm in need of some good high quality steel and brass wedges. Will be used for separating the flanged ends of big pumps. Anybody here have experience with some good brands. I've googled them but I don't know who makes good ones. Thanks guys.

Bought some off of ebay, search "millwright", they are Ampco and seem to be a good brand. Reasonably priced too.

Cool, thanks, I'm going to keep an eye on those. I checked their site and they don't make steel ones, still searching for those.

I have some steel Armstrong ones that were used for exactly what you want them for, I've had them for a long time but the part number is/was 79-495. Not sure about brass ones, maybe have a machinist make them.

Thanks again to everybody's responses. What it looks like is I should get armstrong for steel wedges and ampco for soft wedges. I will be ordering them up today.
