Was @ a pawn shop today found this Mitutoyo 295-153, the guy wanted $40 tax in, but since it was missing some foam, the tool and the instructions I asked for $35 tax free. Does anyone have a link to the manual for this and know where I can get an adjustment wrench?

I went to a thrift store across the street where I saw this Waterloo ML-600 for $3.00. I couldn't think of a good reason to pass it up. Made in USA. Bottom drawer needs some work, along with a lock, but beneath the bottom drawer was a Gray Canada 15mm wrench as well.

At the same thrift store I found this drafting kit. It's a Tacro Inc of Germany set. I don't know anything about these so maybe someone can give me some insight of value etc. Guy was asking $10 I took it for $7.00.

make sure you don't store the mic "closed" like that. I've seen the spindle and anvil corrode together before, even if it has carbide faces. The same goes for calipers. Just a little FYI.

Nice mic!

Is that a "ball" mic.?

Kinda looks like it in the pic.

Nice mic either way but the ball mic is usually bit harder to find, and is very handy to have.

Forgive my ignorance but what is a ball mic? What would this typically be worth used?

You would use a ball mic, or a mic with a rounded spindle and anvil to measure tubing, shell bearings, ect. It can still be used to measure other things as well. stock Z/28 has a good eye.
