For the guy that asked where my Diecast models are. I had a chance this weekend to hang some of my 1:18 scale models in the new garage. I still have more to hang but here is what I got to. They look great hanging on the angle and I went through a few different scenarios before ending up with the final installation.

that's not a garage. IT's a museum of modern art!

I thought about doing the typical half grey half white walls. but that all white with red stripe looks fantastic.

and now I know where to put all my models and RC cars!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

The wall color is a light shade of Grey I guess it does not show it the pictures. If you look at the door casing those are bright white.

Didn't you see the 917's in various places models, posters, art. I am partial to the 911 it is what I like. Now if I had the money today I would have a CGT sitting in the garage. Some day... I do like all Porsches, I have had several 968's and 996/911's and recently turned my Cayenne S daily driver in for a lease on a Denali which the other half now drives. I want to get a Cayenne Turbo next so I am not just a 911 a fan I just love them more  .

That was me who posed the original question. Didn't know you were THAT serious! Nice collection and a wild way to display them; I wouldn't have thought of that. I think that when my garage makeover is done, I'll just display a few models, but not in cases. Though the garage houses my Vette and will reflect such accessories, I'll try to find some of my other dream cars as well. Nice job. BTW, do you realize that with all the amenities in the New Modern Garage, you'll now have to dust!!?

Personally if I were you I would enclose the models because of all the moisture and weather they will see....they wont last long out in the open

The wood cases were picked up at Tuesday Morning by my other half. The wall mounted display cases were purchased on ebay for about $8/per

Just wondering Sandoval, do you have (or plan to) a RC replica of your Porsche? I'm trying to find a nice remote controlled Silver C5...

Not into RC cars but I do have a diecast AutoArt replica of my car almost to a T. My car is has the Euro MKI GT3 Aero kit, Wheels and interior. It also comes in Yellow so it is identicle to my car. The detail on the autoart cars is amazing.

Security

Hey, love the yellow Porsche. I want to know about that broom hanging over the “speed racer” door is that some kind of security device? It looks like if you opened that door from the other side you would get hit in the head by the business end of the broom.

Also do you have climate control in your garage? The reason I ask is that I would love to show some of my models in mine but the summer heat would for sure warp them.

Looks Great!

The Garage is made out of three layers of brick it stays nice and cool in the summer and keeps the heat in, in the winter although it does get cold without a heater. I have an electric heater I will be using when it does get cold.

That door goes out to the yard and is never used. It was the original door out of the garage. I replaced the two car garage door with a set of French doors and a 9X7 WD Garage door. The French doors are the primary door in and out of the garage.

The Dispenser was an ebay score $50. It is a motion dispenser ;)

Here are some pics from a drive I did today.
