We moved into our current house (renting) after I got accepted to med school. One of the selling features to me was the single car garage/ shed for my tools and projects in the backyard. It's a decent size for me and has a space that's almost as big that is covered but exposed. For 2015 I would like to make this a more usable space as right now it mostly a holding place for unpacked boxes, tools, and the lawn mower. Fortunately this house was bought and refinished in 2011 by our landlord who didn't even have a key to the shed that was utilized by the previous owner who left some welding equipment, old tools and a plethora of lumber, paint, hardware, and tile/ granite etc. I installed a new lock on the door and plan to make this space work for some woodworking and other projects this year.
Looking for any advice on sprucing it up a bit.
Pictures will go here tomorrow when you can see them
Plans so far:
Refinish crappy old cabinet in shed and turn it into power tool charging station/ attach something to the side to hold my air tools.
Buy or build workbench
Workbench seating
Build a hanging tool cabinet
Clean out left over materials for space and to see what I have
Build shelving for storage
Brad nail spare plywood to rafters for box storage
In general organization
Incorporate record player and vinyls for tunes while working in the shop
