Weird little SO collectors set?

After looking up the Snap on number it appear that these pliers have been in the books for at least 50 years with very little changes.

184 (current 184CCP)
5 (current 5ACP )
94 ( last was 94CCP)


On the front of the leatherette case it is embossed snap-on in the current font.

Any info on these? They look to be from 1982

I had that exact same kit a few years back. I got it in a tool box I won from a GSA auction. I ended up selling it on ebay to some dude in Japan for $140.
